MLL regular season done, League’s top scorer Poskay leads Boston into playoffs

With the Cannons in first place, a lot of the credit has to go to Matt Poskay.  After putting up 52 points in 12 games and leading his team to a league best  8-4 record tied with Denver you have to have Boston as the favorites to win it all.  There seems to be a trend when it comes to the top scorers in the league, they all bring their teams to the playoffs.  Poskay’s 52 points leads the league and puts Boston into the playoffs, Danowski’s 47 points ranks him second in league scoring and lead Long Island to a 7-5 record for a playoff 3 seed, Poillon’s 41 from the midfield put the Bayhawks in the playoff mode and the league’s fourth leading scorer, Brendan Mundorf lead Denver into championship weekend as well.  These studs know how to bring their teams to the top.  Check out the MLL’s leading scorers here:  http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/scoringleaders.html?leagueid=323&seasonid=5244

Another Accolade to add to Crotty’s 2011 Trophy Case

Is there any other lacrosse player you would rather be right now?  After being named a first team All-American for the second straight year Ned Crotty continued to take over the lacrosse world.  He continued on to lead his team to the national championship while winning the Tewaaraton award, being drafter #1 in the MLL draft to the Chicago Machine, winning the halftime skills competition of the MLL all-star game, getting sponsored by Brine, scoring the winning goal for team USA in the gold medal game of the world games and now becoming the ACC Male Athlete of the Year.  Not bad for a 23 year old from Jersey.
